He’s co-written chart-topping hits like “We Are Young” and “Some Nights,” and now musician Andrew Dost of the two-time Grammy Award-winning band fun. has created a composition to put Rovers in a restful frame of mind.
Teaming up with DogTV, a TV network just for our tail-wagging chums, the Associated Press reports that the keyboardist has composed minutes of mellow harp and piano music accented by pup-pleasing electronic undertones. Dost stated that “I made sure the range of frequencies and instrumentation were tailored to a dog’s unique sense of hearing and kept things musically more level and linear.”
The placid piece of music, which premiered in the Relaxation portion of DogTV on July 7th, is played in concert with videos filmed in Yosemite National Park.
Dost has also put a song in the hearts of his Fido-loving fans by donating his pay from the project to A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue, a non-profit organization which saves canines and cats from high-kill shelters in the Metro Detroit area and places them with caring foster families until they find forever pet parents to love.
