A two-time Tony Award winner for her roles in Thoroughly Modern Millie and Anything Goes, actress Sutton Foster is now earning rave reviews for starring alongside the dog who takes center stage in her life in a just unleashed PSA that promotes the option of pet adoption.

In the video Foster introduces viewers to Mabel, a Dachshund/Yorkshire Terrier who was saved from a Texas shelter by Pet Rescue Inc. and lived with a foster family before becoming a part of Foster’s fur family.

Along with using her star wattage to shine a spotlight on the need to help companion animals who need forever homes, the star of the TV Land series Younger has also drawn interest in the paws cause through her drawings. Foster has sold her prints of pups, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting The Humane Society of New York.

Following in the footsteps of such famous fans of Fidos and felines as Tyson Ross of the San Diego Padres, Surfing Hall of Fame member Taylor Knox, pro skateboarder/rally cross driver Bucky Lasek and roller derby champ Bonnie Thunders, the actress is the latest animal-loving luminary to step in front of the camera for Petco’s “Think Adoption First” campaign.
