She portrayed the boy who never grew up in a live TV performance of Peter Pan, and now actress Allison Williams has taken on the very grown up real life role of a forever pet parent to a rescue dog.
In celebration of National Puppy Day (which took place on March 23rd), the star of the hit HBO series Girls shared the happy news with fans by posting a snapshot of her new Spot– a 10-week-old Golden Retriever mix named Moxie, who is just one of the approximately 20,000 dogs, puppies, cats and kittens who will be rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed in 2015 thanks to the largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization in the world, North Shore Animal League America.
By choosing the option of pet adoption, Allison Williams has followed in the footsteps of her multi-Golden Globe-winning co-star Lena Dunham, who welcomed Lamby– a dog from the Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition– into her heart and home in 2013.
