Actress Laura Wright, who has won a Daytime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Carly Corinthos Jacks on the iconic ABC soap General Hospital, has won the admiration of animal lovers for using her celebrity status to shine a spotlight on a campaign which helps our four-pawed pals in need.

A proud pet parent to four fur babies– a Border Collie/Golden Retriever dubbed Dusty; a miniature Dachshund called Lily; a Shepherd mix named Rider and a Border Collie/German Shepherd puppy known as Fire (who was recently welcomed into the TV star’s family after his adoption from Old Yeller Rescue Ranch)– Wright has happily stepped into her real life role as an animal advocate to promote a new browser app that will raise funds for a paws cause.

Thanks to a partnership between ASPCA and We-Care.com, dog devotees can now use to browser app to visit we-care.com’s online mall, mull over the merchandise found at their favorite shopping destinations, and know that a percentage of each purchase automatically benefits the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

As an added treat, through August 16, 2014 Fido-and-feline-loving fans of General Hospital who sign up for a free We-Care.com account can enter to win a day on the set of the popular daytime drama!
