Texas Rangers Help Humane Society of North Texas

Pitching the option of pet adoption, the Texas Rangers have stepped away from the baseball diamond and in front of a camera to help dogs at The Humane Society of North Texas who are waiting for the day when they hear a loving pet parent say “Let’s play ball!”

The following sports stars have posed with the four-legged members of their own home team and adorable adoptables from the Humane Society of North Texas for Dogs Safe at Home– a full color 26-card set:

While traditional baseball cards contain player statistics, each 4″X6″ Dogs Safe at Home card in the series displays information regarding the photogenic Fidos. The sets also include the Humane Society of North Texas’s pet care tips and a coupon for discounts on pet care products.

Fans can get their mitts on the collectibles when they are unleashed June 7th at a Humane Society of North Texas Adopt-a-Pet event hosted by the Texas Rangers Wives Association at Global Life Park in Arlington just a few hours prior to  the Rangers game against the Cleveland Indians. Priced at $15 when purchased in person, the card sets will also be available during all Rangers home games at the Texas Rangers Foundation or the Majestic Grand Slam Gift Shop, while baseball buffs with a love for our barking buddies who are unable to attend a game can buy the set at The Humane Society of North Texas centers in Dallas, Fort Worth, Benbrook and Keller, or purchase online for $18 at texasrangers.com/pets.

Proceeds from the card sets will benefit The Humane Society of North Texas, a non-profit organization which has provided comfort and care for homeless companion animals since 1905.
