Nils Lofgren of The E Street Band Promotes Save Them All Campaign

Nils Lofgren-I Saved (1)_WEBNils Lofgren, who will step on stage as a member of Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band when the iconic group is inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on April 10th, is helping to set the stage for a brighter tomorrow for pets in need by showing his support for a paws cause.

Putting a song in the hearts of dog devotees, the acclaimed guitarist and his wife Amy have posed with four of their six rescued Rovers for a Best Friends Animal Society’s Save Them All® ad to call for an end to the daily euthanization of more than 9,000 dogs and cats in the nation’s shelter system. Logren states that the couple have “always been animal lovers and can’t say enough about the love and companionship our dogs bring to our lives every day.

“We remain huge fans — and supporters — of the great work Best Friends Animal Society does,” says Nils. “What a blessing and beautiful example of service and kindness they are to animals, animal owners, admirers and supporters everywhere.”

Following in the famous footsteps of fellow dog devotees such as actress Denise Richards, Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba and actor Danny Trejo, Nils Lofgren is the latest luminary who has helped to shine a spotlight on the Save Them All photo campaign by stepping in front of the camera with their rescued canines and cats.

The nation’s largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals, Best Friends Animal Society offers life-saving programs in partnership with rescue groups and shelters across the country. Since its start in 1984, Best Friends has played a vital role in reducing the number of companion animals who needlessly lose their lives each year in shelters from 17 million per year to approximately 4 million.
