Actress Torrey DeVitto Promotes the Option of Pet Adoption

She’s starred in such hit series as The Vampire Diaries, One Tree Hill, Pretty Little Liars and Army Wives, and now actress Torrey DeVitto is sharing screen time with her real life ‘leading man’ in a new PSA promoting the option of pet adoption.

Unleashed on Celebrate Shelter Pets Day, in the video the actress introduces her doggedly devoted fans to Beau. The star once confided to TailsInc that the charming Chihuahua mix was six years old and had never had a forever pet parent when he won a starring role in her heart and home thanks to Much Love Animal Rescue in Los Angeles.

DeVitto is the latest animal-loving luminary to step in front of the camera for the “Meet My Shelter Pet” online video series, which was produced by The Humane Society of the United States, Maddie’s Fund and Ad Council in partnership with Halo Pet Foundation for the Shelter Pet Adoption campaign. In November Late Night with David Letterman‘s Paul Shaffer, his daughter and their four four-legged family members helped the paws cause.
