On Thanksgiving Day the Baltimore Ravens heard the roar of the crowd as they tackled their toughest opponents for a 22-20 win, and on December 7th players from the NFL team will hear the cheers of dog devotees as they take part in a party for a paws cause.
Celebrating the 5th anniversary of Downtown Dog Resort and Spa, fans of Fidos, football and holiday festivities can bring a four-pawed pal to pose for a pet pic with jolly Saint Nick and sports stars Torrey Smith, Arthur Jones, James Ihedigbo, Morgan Cox and Gerrard Sheppard.
Along with watching Spot smile for the camera for a Christmas keepsake, attendees can try to win signed memorabilia from baseball star Adam Jones of the Baltimore Orioles during one of the event’s raffles; sample tasty treats from Jimmy’s Famous Seafood and sip spirits at a Cash Bar; and watch as Rovers play dog games.
A holiday happening with heart, all of the proceeds from the Downtown Dog Resort Rescue Party will benefit BARCS (Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter) and the Maryland SPCA.
