Offering an assist to animals in need, the WNBA team the San Antonio Silver Stars invite basketball buffs and their barking buddies to their annual Hoops and Hounds fundraising game.
Sure to score points with people who love pets, game day will also include a dog fair and adorable adoptables who are hoping to become a member of a loving pet parent’s home team.
While only time will tell if the Stars or the Tulsa Shock will wind up victorious, the real winners of the August 4th game will be canines and cats in the San Antonio area, as proceeds will benefit the Alamo Area Partners for Animal Welfare (AAPAW), which teams together rescue organizations, veterinarians and people with a passion for compassion to offer support for spay/neuter programs, educate the public on the need for responsible pet parenting, and find forever homes for dogs and cats in need.
Tickets: Dog ticket $5; human ticket from $10 to $37 (One dog per person. All dogs are required to be on a leash.)
When: August 4, 2013 at 3:30 p.m.
Where: AT&T Center at One AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas
