Today’s Hoda Kotb Adopts A Rescue Puppy

A rescue puppy is looking forward to a bright tomorrow thanks to his new pet parent, Today co-host Hoda Kotb.

After meeting 10 potential tail-wagging chums (all from PAWS Chicago and other rescue organizations on PetFinder) the Dateline NBC correspondent fell in love with a 5-month-old Cockapoo whose life on the streets led first to the city pound before his rescue by PAWS Chicago.

Called Goldfish during his stay in the Windy City’s largest no-kill shelter, Kotb’s cuddly new fur baby has been given the new name Blake after Kotb’s favorite country crooner, Blake Shelton.

Like all proud new pet parents, Hoda Kotb took to Twitter to share a snapshot of her furry family member:

Far from the first famous face to adopt from PAWS Chicago, both Smashing Pumpkins vocalist Billy Corgan and Oprah Winfrey have found furry friends at the organization, which was founded in 1997.
