Getting Fit with Tagg, Part Two


In last week’s post about getting fit with Tagg’s Activity Tracker, I told you about our goal for Tiki: 300 points per day. As you can see from the above graph, we’re not there yet!

Our goal is to increase Tiki’s activity level to 300 points per day. Sort of like a human pedometer, the Tagg Activity Tracker counts your activity but, unlike a pedometer, it gives you extra points based on how active you are, with light, moderate and heavy levels of exercise.

Irie, on the other paw, is proving to be more active, even though both dogs are walked together twice a day. The difference: all of our walks are preceded by a period of exciting running and fetching with Irie…and it shows in her stats:

As you can see above, I moused over parts of the chart and up pops a more detailed breakdown of Irie’s activity, showing that she spent 2 hours and 15 minutes that day moderately active.

You can also see a breakdown of activity based on time of day:

It’s easy to see when the dogs went out for their walks (and when Tiki had to get up at 2:45am and go outside! This chart also lets me see where there’s room for improvement and more activity. Comparing each day’s chart, I can see that there’s a series nap from about noon to 4:30pm each day but I think there’s plenty of room for more activity at other times–and for an increased level of activity at the times when the dogs are active.

Of course, I continue to be so happy with the GPS features of Tagg. It really gives us a peace of mind knowing that, if one of the dogs should get lost, we can track them using the Tagg app on our smartphones.
