As we’ve written about before, before we started DogTipper we were full-time travel writers. We specialized in guidebook writing so that meant being on the move a lot, often living out of our suitcases since we didn’t have time to unpack at each one-night research stop. When we weren’t living out of the luggage, we were carrying it onto the airplane. Our luggage definitely was road tested. We recognize and appreciate good luggage!
So when we received a chance to review a Sherpa bag, we jumped at the chance. Sherpa is synonymous to us with pet carry-on bags. The company was founded by flight attendant Gayle Martz who wanted a functional but stylish bag for her Lhasa Apso named…you guessed it…Sherpa!
Sherpa became the first pet carrier to be recognized by major airlines and now the bags are available in many styles, from backpacks and totes to sports duffels and wheeled bags to the classic pet carrier.
We received the Sherpa Ultimate Pet Carrier to review and we were amazed at its many features including:
- mesh panels for ventilation
- top and side entry
- a sheepskin-texture pad
- roll up flaps on three sides to give your pooch some privacy
- a shoulder strap
- a large accessory pocket
We just love this well-made, stylish carrier for small dogs…it makes us wish we had a small dog! This bag will make a great carrier for vacations and for holiday travel so we give it a big paws up.
Disclosure: We received this bag for review; we were not paid for our review and all statements are entirely our own.
