Spooky Buddies Doggy Biscuit Recipe

If you’ve got a young fan of the “Buddies” movies, this easy dog treat recipe has a Halloween twist.

Spooky Buddies Bat-Shaped Dog Biscuits

3/4 cup hot water
1/3 cup margarine
1/2 cup powdered milk
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar (I substituted 2 teaspoons blackstrap molasses for the sugar and salt)
1 egg, beaten
3 cups whole wheat flour

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

In large bowl, pour hot water over the margarine; stir until melted.

Stir in powdered milk, salt, egg then add flour 1/2 cup at a time. Knead for a few minutes to form stiff dough.

Place dough on a lightly floured surface and roll out flat to the thickness of a pancake.

Cut your biscuits using a bat-shaped cookie cutter.

Place biscuits 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 325 degrees F for about 50 minutes.

Remove and cool.
