When I first started the 365 Photo Project series, I wanted to make sure that everyone knew this was a series that everyone with any kind of camera could use to inspire them take photos of their dog. I didn’t want to delve into post-production kind of things you could do to manipulate your photos in Photoshop another other editors (largely because much of Photoshop is still a mystery to me!)
But just this week I learned one fun thing about Photoshop and I wanted to share it…and to tell you about Picnik.com, an online tool that has a function that does the same thing but only until April 19. (Picnik has been purchased by Google so it will be closing on April 19; some of its photo effects are available on Google+ under “Creative kit.”)
But back to Photoshop. Ever since I went on a Rug Doctor trip in November, I’ve been following Cheryl over at Tidy Mom, one of the bloggers on the trip (and a fellow dog mom!) She has a beautiful blog with mouthwatering recipes, super crafts, and top-notch photography.
On Friday, Tidy Mom posted about a new and FREE Photoshop template that Amanda from Everyday Elements had created for her called the Tidy Blog collages template. I have several of the actions from Everyday Elements (she has some great free actions if, like me, you’re just learning to use actions) so I hopped over and downloaded the Tidy Blog collages template. You’ll find a video tutorial on the Tidy Blog collages page that walks you through how to use it if you’re not familiar with Photoshop templates.
