151*365: Carry Spare Camera Batteries

Summer means fun on-the-go for Fidos, whether in the form of festivals, day trips, or vacation getaways with your four-legged friend.

And all those activities require batteries if you’re going to bring home vacation memories with your camera. Today’s 365 tip is a super simple one but one that can make ALL the difference between getting a photo and missing a photo. Carry a spare battery with you all the time.

Regardless of the kind of battery your camera requires, carry a spare set. Video, especially, drains a battery quickly. Many cameras require batteries that aren’t that easy to locate; even if your camera uses AA batteries, you’ll need photo AA batteries that aren’t that easy to locate on the road. (We know this firsthand; we’ve lost track of the number of times people have asked to borrow batteries from us on trips.)

Take just a minute and secure a second set of batteries, whether one-time use or rechargeable batteries. Like a spare leash, you don’t need it until you really need it and then you’re very happy that you thought to pack it!
