Celebrity Dogs Take Part in Strut Your Mutt

'Hector and the Search for Happiness' Participates in Best Friends Animal Society's Strut Your Mutt
As a celebrity dog she’s accustomed to walking the red carpet, but on September 6, 2014, Luna– a Boston Terrier who stars with Simon Pegg and Rosamund Pike in the soon-to-be unleashed dramedy Hector and the Search for Happiness— was at the starting line at Best Friends Animal Society’s Strut Your Mutt in Los Angeles, walking to help put dogs and cats in need on the path to a better tomorrow.

While movie buffs will see her human companion embark on a worldwide journey to find joy in the upcoming romantic comedy, Luna found happiness among stroller and Spots as she led a team from Relative Media and DOG FOR DOG. Thanks to Luna and all of the other two-and four-legged participants, Strut Your Mutt Los Angeles raised more than $595,900 for area animal rescue groups and shelters– and the total will continue to rise as donations will be accepted online through October 11th.

During the day of play for a higher purpose, Luna also posed for photos with fans of films and Fidos, and even had the chance to meet legendary Lassie, who attended in her role as a Best Friends Animal Society ambassador.

Cinephiles can file into their local movie theater beginning September 19th to see Luna on the big screen in Hector and the Search for Happiness.
