Randy Jackson Promotes Adopt, Don’t Shop Campaign

Putting a song in the hearts of animal lovers, Randy Jackson– who helped to turn dreams of musical stardom from reverie to reality as a judge on American Idol— is helping to promote a non-profit’s effort to create a better reality for dogs and cats who dream of landing a permanent gig in the life of a forever pet parent.

A multi-pet parent, the entertainment world’s “Big Dawg” is one of the many famous friends of Fidos who have posed for Last Chance for Animals‘ “Adopt, Don’t Shop” campaign. Other animal-loving luminaries who have posed in front of photographer Christopher Ameruoso’s lens for the sake of the paws cause include Priscilla Presley, Sons of Anarchy star Ron Perlman, The Real Housewives of Miami‘s Joanna Krupa and esteemed actor Sam Elliott.

Established in 1984 by actor Chris DeRose, Last Chance for Animals champions a wide range of animal welfare issues, including the plight of puppy mill dogs, putting an end to the fur trade and stopping the transport of animals to laboratories.

A proud multi-pet parent, Randy Jackson was among a multitude of stars who showed their support for the the option of pet adoption in the following Last Chance for Animals video which also features messages of mercy from such high-profile pals to those with paws as Glee star Jane Lynch, Shameless cast member Emmy Rossum, actors Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn, comedienne Kathy Griffin, singer Gavin DeGraw, as well as appearances by Hot in Cleveland star Wendie Malick, actor Josh Duhamel and former American Idol judge Paula Abdul.
